    Dear Sir:

    I write to ask if you would be willing to undertake a Kantian bibliography, for an early number of the Philosophical Review.[1] A complete recount of Kantian literature would,[b] I suppose, embrace (1) books on Kant’s philosophy, (2) Articles in periodicals, (3) accounts and criticisms contained in works not primarily devoted to an examination of the Kantian philosophy. To begin with at least I should limit our bibliography to the first of these classes. The article would give the titles, authors, dates, etc. of books, with a very brief account of their contents and a critical estimate of their value. I know no one more competent than yourself to prepare such an article; and it will give me great pleasure to be assured that you are willing to undertake it for the Review.

    The Review pays for all solicited articles at the rate of $ 1.50 (about six Marks[c]) per page. Messrs. Mayer & Müller[2] of Berlin are the German agents. The Review is an organ of general philosophy, addressed to the American and even the entire English-speaking philosophical world.
