Abstract
The thesis describes the work done to explore and quantify the improvements to the neutrino detection capability of the Pierre Auger Observatory for the zenith angle range of 60°-75° with the additional electromagnetic triggers introduced in 2014. The triggers internally referred to as "new" triggers consist of Time-over-Threshold-deconvolved (ToTd) and Multiplicity-of-Positive-Steps (MoPS). Each aspect of the method used for neutrino search in the zenith range explored is investigated and updated to include these new triggers. This method is then tested on observational data collected at the observatory between 2014-2022 to look for neutrino-like events in a blind search strategy. Following a null observation new constraints to a diffuse flux of Ultra-High Energy (UHE) neutrinos are presented. An upper-limit for point-like sources of UHE neutrinos is also described for the angular range and the energies explored. The work from the thesis was also published and presented in a concise form at the 39th International Cosmic Ray Conference and can be found in PoS-ICRC2025-1170.
