My[a] dear Professor Vaihinger:

I have much pleasure in accepting the offer[1] that you so kindly make to me, of cöoperating[b] with you and the other distinguished scholars you mention in issuing Kant-Studien from time to time. The undertaking is one with which I am in fullest sympathy, and I shall be glad to give it all the support in my power. I shall also call attention to the undertaking from time to time in The Philosophical Review.

I think that I can also engage to | send[c] you from time to time accounts of the Literature of the subject[2] so far as America is concerned. How often[d] should such an account be sent? America has not[e] contributed very much to the literature of the subject but I know of several Dissertations soon to be published and at least one book. Would you wish that account should be taken of articles in journals as well as of books, Dissertations, etc.?[f]

I would gladly send some contribution at once, if I had anything ready. But there has been nothing of importance dealing with Kant | published[g] in this country for some time. However, I shall try and find something if possible – it may be that I can get an author’s Notice or two.

Would you care to have an account of the American books already existing which deal with Kant? They are alas very few, and of very minor importance compared with what you have produced[h] in Germany. I think that I could send you an account of them soon, but not in time for Heft I.
