My dear Professor Vaihinger:
In writing to you the other day[1] regarding the Manuscript[a] which I was sending I neglected to mention another subject of which I wished to speak.
Miss E. B. Talbot[b] who has just received the degree of Doctor of Philos[ophy] from Cornell University has written her Dissertation[2] on “The First Principle of Fichte’s Philosophy”. It contains a chapter on the relation of Fichte to Kant. Would you think that subject a proper one for an article[3] for the Kant-Studien? I should ask her to work her chapter over again, and condense it somewhat, | so that it probably not be more that 14 pages.
If You are inclined to consider the paper favorably, Kindly indicate how soon it would be possible for it to appear. The thesis will not be printed until next sommer.
I see that the Kant-Studien is publishing an advertisement [4]of the Philos[ophical] Review. I asked the publishers (Voss of Hamburg[c]) to send me the announcement of the Kant-Studien which they wished us to insert in the Review[5], but have received no reply.[d] Will You Kindly send such an advertisement yourself, or call the publishers attention to the matter? We shall be glad to give the Kant-Studien a page and to continue it for a Year.
Yours Very Sincerely,
J. E. Creighton.
